How it works

Run the numbers in minutes – then let's talk it through.

On lakas.biz the machine and the human work together: the online calculator gives a direction in minutes, and the joint work turns it into well-set-up, well-maintained cover. Your total time investment is a few hours – I carry the rest.

What Csenge and Bence noticed of all this: one calculation, one good conversation – and from then on even a claim isn't scary.

Online calculation – minutes

The first step can happen right now: the online calculator (in Hungarian) gives a direction from your home's data. No obligation – and everything you enter is reused in our joint work.

Needs assessment and value setting

20 minutes by phone or video: usage, values, high-value items, existing policy. Here we set the most important thing: the true rebuilding value and a realistic contents sum.

Offers in one table

Competing offers from several insurers in a single clear table: sums, covers, limits, deductibles, exclusions – with strengths and weaknesses, ready for a decision.

Signing or switching

You decide, I handle the paperwork – for new policies and for switching, in the right order: the new cover first, then the old policy's cancellation. With a mortgage we also sort out the bank's clause.

At claim time: an orderly route

You report the claim on the insurer's claims line or online portal – that is the fastest route. If the case stalls or is disputed, I help the client through the orderly channels.

Review, if warranted

Fifteen minutes a year: values, covers, life situation. Renovation, solar panels, a big purchase? We adjust the sum – the cover should follow the home, not the other way round.

The details of each step in Insights: using the calculator well, needs assessment, comparing offers, how signing works, reporting a claim, the renewal check.

The March lane: the national switching window

Every March, home insurance can typically be cancelled and switched regardless of the renewal date – under the rules in force at the time. For us this is not switching pressure but a comparison opportunity: in March, several insurers' offers can be requested and compared at once, and if the substance is better too, we switch; if your current policy is the good one, we stay.

Should I switch at all?

Timeline – what happens when?

  1. Today: online calculation (minutes) – an indicative figure and a first picture of the market, with no obligation.
  2. Needs assessment (20 minutes) + value setting – by the end you know what sum and what content to request offers for.
  3. Requesting offers and handing over the table – when the offers arrive depends on the insurers' response times; you receive the table and I answer your questions.
  4. Signing or switching – I prepare the paperwork, you decide and sign; switching also includes the old policy's orderly cancellation and, with a mortgage, informing the bank.
  5. After signing: policy check together – sums, optional covers, deductible, mortgagee clause; keep the policy and the home inventory in one folder.
  6. If it's warranted (or you ask): review – values, indexation, life situation; when life changes, we adjust mid-year too.

And what comes after signing – continuous support

What do I ask of you in total? A calculation or a 20-minute conversation, a few honest data points about your home, and one decision. The rest – value setting based on your data, competing offers, the table, paperwork – is my job. The advice is free of charge; the brokerage remuneration is paid by the insurer.

Start with the calculator – or a 20-minute conversation.

Free, with no obligation – by the end you will see your options and the next step clearly.
